How it works

Our ethos is that we all share ownership of the choir, and ideas for events and fundraising from all members of the choir are welcome, to ensure that the choir develops in a direction we are all committed to. To aid the running and organisation of the choir, we have a group of volunteers, all choir members, who have been elected by the membership as the committee:
Beeston Voices
 Chair:Becky Howes (musical director)
 Secretary:Annie Herbert
Treasurer:Mark McGrath
Events Co-ordinator:Claudia Matz
Membership Secretary:Katherine Kraven
Social Secretary:Esther Fulton
 Librarians:
Suzi Clark and Marina Bastiani-Flint
 Accompanist & Tech. Liaison:
Rick Whitaker

We aim to make being in the choir as affordable as possible. Membership subscriptions help us to cover the cost of a weekly payment for our musical director and accompanist, hall hire, promotional materials and any necessary equipment. We also do some fundraising activities - these have included singing in Tescos on a Saturday morning, running raffles and a 'silent auction', and inviting donations from guests at our performances. Any surplus funds are donated to a local charity, chosen collectively by the choir.
