Rehearsal dates and joining
We rehearse on Mondays during school term time. School term dates can be found here.
Normally new members may join in the first two weeks of any term, but currently we have a waiting list. We may prioritise tenors (male or female) and basses, to help balance the choir in terms of voice parts. If you would like to register your interest, please Contact Us.
Rehearsal details
Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings, 7.30pm - 9.30pm, at John Clifford School, Nether Street, Beeston, NG9 2AT. After a warm-up, we usually practise 2 or 3 songs each week, learning new material and sometimes going over old songs to keep them fresh in our minds. We have a break halfway at around 8.30, during which we socialise and have refreshments which are provided.
Music is available to purchase through the choir at £2 per copy - it is very useful to have your own copies so that you can make notes on them and take them home. If you prefer, however, we also keep some spare copies for borrowing on rehearsal nights, we just ask that you return them at the end of the evening
